Ways to get involved

There are many meaningful ways to support Rising Mothers Foundation Ontario and help create lasting change. Volunteering offers a direct impact, whether through mentoring, facilitating support groups, assisting at events, or sharing professional skills.

Donations are also vital, helping fund programs and provide essential resources, with in-kind contributions such as clothing, baby supplies, and household items always appreciated. Community organizations and businesses can partner with us through collaborations, sponsorships, and workplace initiatives to expand our reach.

Advocating by spreading awareness and sharing our mission also makes a difference. Those with lived experience are especially encouraged to share their stories and inspire others.

Every contribution, big or small, helps ensure that no mother walks alone.

Why your help matters

Getting involved with Rising Mothers Foundation Ontario means being part of real, lasting change in the lives of single mothers and their children. Volunteers become a source of support for mothers who may have no one else, while donations directly help women move from crisis to stability, from isolation to belonging.

Every hour, dollar, and partnership can create meaningful impact, whether helping a mother secure employment, access support services, or begin healing from trauma.

By getting involved, you join a compassionate, purpose-driven community committed to breaking cycles of hardship and building stronger families. The support of one person can transform a mother’s life and create a ripple effect that reaches her children and the wider community.

Skills and contributions we need

RMFO welcomes volunteers and partners from all backgrounds, recognizing that the needs of single mothers are diverse. We value professionals such as mental health and counselling providers, employment and HR specialists, legal and financial advisors, childcare workers, settlement professionals, and social workers.

We also welcome compassionate individuals without formal credentials who can contribute as mentors, event volunteers, drivers, translators, or administrative supporters.

Time commitments are flexible, whether a few hours a month or ongoing support. For organizations, we welcome partnerships through referrals, shared programming, and community initiatives.

Every skill and contribution matters, helping us build a community where every mother is supported and no child is left behind.

"Being a part of RMFO has allowed me to see the direct impact of my efforts. It’s incredibly rewarding to help mothers rebuild their lives."
